Trimethoprim 160 mg and
Sulphamethoxazole 800 mg
Ciplin Suspension
Each 5 ml contains:
Trimethoprim 40 mg and
Sulphamethoxazole 200 mg
Indications
Urinary tract infections, Acute otitis media in paediatric
patients. Acute exacerbations of chronic bronchitis in
adults, Traveller's Diarrhoea in adults, Pneumocystis
carinii pneumonia.
Dosage and Administration
URINARY TRACT INFECTIONS
Adults
1 Ciplin DS tablet, 2 or 4 teaspoonful Ciplin
Suspension twice daily for 10 to 14 days
ACUTE EXACERBATION OF CHRONIC BRONCHITIS
1 Ciplin DS or 4 teaspoonful of Ciplin Suspension
twice daily for 14 days.
TRAVELERS DIARRHOEA
1 Ciplin DS tablet or 4 teaspoonful of Ciplin
Suspension every 12 hours for 5 days.

2 Ciplin DS tablets q 8 hours x 14-21 days.
25 mg/kg q 8 hours
