Mebendazole
Indications
Mebex is indicated in the treatment of threadworm,
roundworm, whipworm, hookworm, pinworm, tapeworm and mixed
helminthic infestations.
Dosage and Administration
ADULTS AND CHILDREN (ABOVE 2 YEARS)
Roundworm, hookworm, whipworm and mixed infestations
One tablet or half measure (5 ml) twice daily for three
consecutive days.
Threadworm and tapeworm infestations
Two tablets or one measure (10 ml) twice daily (morning
and evening) for three consecutive days.
Pinworm infestation
Single dose of one tablet or half measure (5 ml)
Side effects
Nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain and diarrhoea.
