Clarithromycin
Indications
Synclar-250 is indicated for the treatment of (URTI)
pharyngitis, tonsillitis. (LRTI) Acute and chronic bronchitis,
pneumonia. Skin infections like Folliculitis, Cellulitis,
Erysipelas
Dosage and Administration
ADULTS
One tablet (250 mg) twice daily for 7 days or two tablets
(500 mg) twice daily for up to 14 days in severe infections
CHILDREN LESS THAN 12 YEARS
7.5 mg/kg every 12 hours for 10 days
Mycobacterium avium complex infection
500 mg twice daily
Primary prophylaxis in MAC infection
500 mg twice daily
Side effects
Nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea and abdominal pain.
